New Dance Alliance (NDA), a non-profit tax-exempt organization formed in 1979, promotes advancement of public knowledge and creative process of experimental dance, music and multi-discipline performance works. NDA's primary program is the Performance Mix Project including the Performance Mix Festival and NDA Exchange. NDA also provides arts management and low-cost rehearsal space; and is an umbrella organization for Karen Bernard/Solo.

New Dance Alliance has received support public support from New York State Council on the Arts, New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, Manhattan Borough President C. Virginia Fields and Council Member, 1st District Alan J. Gerson. Private support has been received from Citibank; Consulate General of Switzerland; Foundation for Contemporary Arts; Experimental Television Center; Fund for the City of New York, Italian Cultural Institute; Mertz Gilmore Foundation; New York Foundation for the Arts Recovery Fund; Meet the Composer Creative Connection; Puffin Foundation; Poets & Writers, Inc. through a grant from New York State Council on the Arts; The Andy Warhol Foundation; The Chase Manhattan Foundation; The Florence Gould Foundation; The Harkness Foundation for Dance; The McGraw-Hill Companies, Inc.; The Québec Government House, New York; The Verizon Foundation; WTC Business Recovery Grant Empire State; Local businesses; and Patrons and Friends of NDA. In-kind support has been received through El.Net, Manoiseca and Material for the Arts through the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs.
